A month has passed, even a little more, but in general the end of the year is approaching, in my fantasies there was a desire to make a whole alpha by this time. But throughout the year I changed three game concepts.
Fun fact: in my last blog I pointed out that the game went through two concepts.

Brief information about the game
I will not describe the full description of the game now, since it is still being formed, including the creation of the environment, lore, game mechanics, and since I am not a screenwriter, because of this, the plot narrative will be written in the process of creating the game, adapting it to certain events.
If I roughly tell you what my game is about, I look at projects like Watch Dogs + Division for references, but without an open world. This is probably the closest thing to any of the ideas I have in mind.
We have a shelter that we are developing, the task of the shelter is to study the material “Pangit”.
To obtain information and the materials themselves, the player will have to go through various missions, including rescuing key people, or recruiting them to achieve the main goal.
Shelter review video
There is also a video where I first tried to create a video using an editing program, I need to somehow develop in this regard, but it’s a shame to show it, but I’ll show it to you.
Why did the concept change?
We should probably start https://andromedabetcasino.co.uk/ from the beginning. Over the course of a year of development, my experience has improved quite well, and there is more understanding of what and how. Fantasies and reality, where the first is fantasy, began to evaporate, and reality began to take over regarding my resources, strengths and capabilities.
– I refused the first concept and removed the multiplayer.
– In the second concept, I ran into technical capabilities, but, more precisely, my knowledge, when FPS became 5–15, and I did not understand how to improve it (later I figured it out, but it was too late).
– From the third concept a month ago I abandoned the open world, fill the open world, make a bunch of dialogues, and in general, my “Witcher” with a machine gun, well, you can already imagine the quality of “The Witcher” with a machine gun, made alone? No? Below is the final video.
But this is not a problem either, approximately 2 million would be needed for voice acting (normal voice acting) of a large volume of texts and a bunch of different voices, perhaps more.
Yes, you can find it cheaper and so on, BUT.
But I can always do something bad, but I simply must try to do it well.
I heard it somewhere or came up with it myself
After publishing the development of gameplay 9, having watched the video many times, I realized that I would release the demo in a year at best, maybe more, or I would drown in volume.
In order not to get burned out and switch things up a bit, I decided to try making a mini-game, a lobby and a mission. But I can’t just do this. The lobby has become a refuge with full development, interactions and part of the overall gameplay. And you can come up with as many missions as you like, at different levels, as much as your imagination allows, and by adding them to the game, thereby expanding it, you get a modular game, and you can pull this off alone.
About the INDI movement that is happening around. Scandals, intrigues, investigation.
Probably, by the time I make my game, the whole movement will end, and the hype of helping indies will pass.
Everyone has probably heard about OUR GAMES, about Igroprom, REDEXPO, a lot of help for indie developers, private publishing houses. Everything is reaching some kind of insanity, the media is almost being measured, how many applications do you have from turkeys, and how many indie studios do you have as friends, etc. d.
Since most topics are in the public domain, I will not gloss over the names of media personalities, I will tell it like it is through the eyes of a developer and communicating with other colleagues.
I’m very angry.
No, it’s surprising, everyone wants to help indie developers for free, but this one is indignant about something.
My indignation is caused solely by the fact that funding, government support (“IRI”) and the creation of various associations are beginning to appear in the indie sector, because it’s cool? IXBT successfully started the history of OUR GAMES, IGROPROM – festival, REDEXPO revives IGROMIR and is largely dedicated to indie games. Daria is launching her own blog to help indie games, Igromaniya announced the other day.
Hot? No? I also expect a move towards indie games from STOPGAME and IGM (I’ve been writing here for a long time, don’t forget about me, the whole story is on your website).
So, you know, what outraged me was that IXBT publishes the news that “Gambling Mania” is asking for money for publicity (although in reality it is not) and gives an ultimatum that whoever they see from the indies on the “Gambling Mania” lists may not contact them.
My moral scale says that putting such conditions on the developers is much worse than “Gaming Mania” asking for money for news.
Daria begins a conflict with “Gaming addiction”. What the hell is going on. Looks like a carve-up of the indie sector.
As a developer, to be honest, I want to be friends with everyone and for everyone to tell about my game.
Don’t choose, these are good, these are bad, go to these, don’t go to these. On the other hand, the more noise, the more attention. And it’s becoming fashionable for indie developers, like, if I’m not mistaken, there was a similar indie boom in 2005 in America.
And today is 2024 and every 2nd game sold is an indie game according to VG Insights statistics.
One more thing from the words of another developer, there is such a game Will&Reason 4x [Will and Reason] in development. The project is quite strong, you don’t need a lot of money, but they say that despite all the boom there are actually no investors, their applications are rejected, VK completely forgot their application for six months (they lost it), IXBT do not read messages to get to the show. This is only a single example in which the developer decided to make his problems public, I think he is not the only one. And so, as a last chance, they sent an application to “Gaming”.
The most interesting thing is, you know what? They found a foreign investor, but he asked to cut out the entire Slavic setting from the game, which the developer refused, my respect.
This is how we live, just recently I told you what a cool indie crowd it is, but essentially everyone is for themselves, and it becomes a lot of dirt, which is not very good.
Conclusion
Remember my blog #3 ? I ended up getting divorced in November. Now I’m all about creating my own game, otherwise it’s all in vain.
VK PLAY has collected 163 wishlists as of today. in 25, I’m still more inclined to create a page in STEAM.
